Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’ To Tabu’s ‘Khufiya’; Netflix Announces Slate Of Its Upcoming Projects

Streaming giant Netflix recently celebrated its 25th anniversary and as a gift to its audience, the streamer announced its slate of upcoming films and shows for the year. They announced titles in including The Archies, Qala, Chakda Xpress, Khufiya, Jogi, Kathal and the Hindi adaptation of The Devotion of Suspect X. Netflix also shared teasers of these movies and shows on their social media handle. Take a look at all the projects announced.

The Archies

The Archies directed by Zoya Akhtar will mark the debut of several star kids and stars Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda. The movie is the official Indian adaptation of the popular Archies Comic series.

Qala

Directed by Anvitaa Dutt, the film stars Tripti Dimri and Swastika Mukherjee and will mark the acting debut of Irrfan Khan’s son Babil.

Chor Nikal Ke Bhaaga

Chor Nikal Ke Bhaaga is touted to be a suspense thriller and stars Kriti Sanon and Sunny Kaushal in the lead role.

Monica, O My Darling

Monica, O My Darling is an upcoming Hindi-language neo-noir crime comedy-drama film written and directed by Vasan Bala. It stars Rajkummar Rao, Huma Qureshi and Radhika Apte in lead roles.

Plan A Plan B

Plan A Plan B is a romantic comedy starring Riteish Deshmukh who plays a divorce lawyer and Tamannaah Bhatia who plays a matchmaker.

Khufiya

Khufiya is an espionage thriller directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and stars Tabu and Ali Fazal in the lead role. The project is reportedly Bhardwaj’s passion project.

Chakda Xpress

Chakda Xpress marks Anushka Sharma’s comeback to the silver screen after the 2018 film Zero. The movie is based on the life of former Indian captain and fast bowler Jhulan Goswami.

Devotion of Suspect X

Kareena Kapoor will be seen alongside Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat in Sujay Ghosh’s adaptation of a novel of the same name by Japanese author Keigo Higashino.
