Vivek Agnihotri, whose ‘The Kashmir Files’ is one of the few Bollywood movies to excel at the box office this year, in a recent media interaction, opened up about the recent failures of highly-anticipated movies like ‘Shamshera’, ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ and ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. But that’s not all as the filmmaker even issued an ‘open challenge’ while pointing out the mistake actors made while promoting their respective projects.
During his recent conversation with ETimes, Agnihotri said, “He was dancing with girls at a fashion show, showing his cleavage and all that. I am not against it. Please don’t misunderstand me,” while talking about Ranveer’s method of promoting ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’, a film based on a serious topic.
Furthermore, he continued, “Same thing happened with Ranbir Kapoor’s film Shamshera. Not even once did they talk about the father-son angle or the dacoit system.” Issuing an ‘open challenge’ Agnihotri added, “You ask anybody on this Earth who hasn’t watched Laal Singh Chaddha, what the film is about. Nobody can tell you because they haven’t spoken about it.”
While Agnihotri’s observation about the recent failures of Bollywood films at the box office has grabbed everyone’s attention, the ace filmmaker recently stunned the entire nation by sharing Bollywood’s ‘Inside Story’ on social media.
