Oscar-Winning Actor Brad Pitt Talks About Retirement; Reveals Spending Years With 'Low-Grade Depression'

Hailed as one of the best actors in the world of cinema, Brad Pitt, who has won several accolades in his illustrious acting career, has left fans all over the globe stunned by hinting at imminent retirement in a recent media interaction. Well, at 58, Brad would find it tough to keep going on as the leading man, but hearing him talk about retirement from acting has left many in a state of tizzy.

“I consider myself on my last leg. This last semester or trimester. What is this section gonna be? And how do I wanna design that?” Pitt told GQ magazine in a recent interaction. Furthermore, Pitt even stated that he would like to continue his association with movies in a behind-the-camera kind of role like a producer.

Well, that wasn’t the only heartbreaking thing that the Oscar-winning actor shared with everyone, but he even talked about spending years with ‘low-grade depression’. “I think joy’s been a newer discovery, later in life. I was always moving with the currents, drifting in a way, and onto the next. I think I spent years with a low-grade depression, and it’s not until coming to terms with that, trying to embrace all sides of self — the beauty and the ugly — that I’ve been able to catch those moments of joy,” Pitt added.

The 58-year-old actor, who recently won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2020 for his phenomenal performance in Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’, Pitt will soon be seen in filmmaker David Leitch’s actioner ‘Bullet Train’. He has also teamed up with Damien Chazelle for a period drama ‘Babylon’ co-starring Margot Robbie. The film that focuses on Hollywood’s transition from silent movies to talkies, is currently scheduled to release in theatres on December 25, 2022.
