One of Marvel’s most ambitious project ‘Eternals’ may have ended up securing mixed reviews online, but that hasn’t stopped Marvel executives from giving a green signal to its sequel. While reports of ‘Eternals 2’ had been making rounds since its release, as Marvel introduced two new characters: Harry Styles as Starfox and Patton Oswalt as Pip the Troll, in the end credit scene, the latter’s recent comments has grabbed everyone’s attention.
Talking to Al Roker on The Today Show, Patton Oswalt confirmed the sequel and even revealed Chloé Zhao is all set to return and helm ‘Eternals 2’. “They have announced there’s going to be an Eternals sequel, Chloe Zhao is going to direct it. So hopefully there will be more adventures of Starfox and Pip,” Oswalt said.

While Marvel announced their Phase 5 and 6 plans at the San Diego Comic-Con, surprisingly, ‘Eternals 2’ wasn’t a part of their long list. But Marvel’s head Kevin Feige is quite excited about Harry Styles’ future in MCU. “We’ve got the street-level with our announcement of Daredevil and of course Spidey, going into the street-level heroes. And cosmic. And that’s where our friends Eros and Pip live,” Feige said while addressing reports about Styles’ MCU future.
Chloé Zhao’s ‘Eternals’ released last year, featured an ensemble cast comprising of talented actors like Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, Salma Hayek, Richard Madden, Kit Harington, Kumail Nanjiani, and others. And with the sequel now in works, they are expected to reprise their superhero roles once again.
