Indian-origin actor Maitreyi Ramakrishnan became a star after leading the popular Netflix show Never Have I Ever. In the show, she depicted the life of an Indian girl stuck in a romantically tricky situation whilst surviving High School. Although she studied in an American school, her quirks and life as an Indian daughter in the US made her relatable to the teens of India.
The young actor has now given another reason for her Indian fan base to like her even more. In an interview with Pinkvilla, the 20-year-old was asked to pick a new narrator for Devi in her show, hypothetically ofcourse. She was asked to pick from Indian celebrities to replace John McEnroe as her narrator.
After putting it some thought, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan said, ”I’d want to switch it up to like a female narrator. Let’s get a female voice in here. A nice woman,” However, she ended up picking up Nayanthara reasoning that she was biased towards her. ”I’ll be biased. I’ll say Nayanthara. I just always loved her as a kid. This is more narrator for me. She was my childhood. I love her, so, I’m going to go Nayanthara”.
Needless to say, fans of the actor would be more than pleased to see Maitreyi mentioning her name. Meanwhile, Never Have I Ever season 3 received positive reviews and is currently gearing up for its fourth season.
