KGF: Chapter 2 is currently the number one in India and has continued to reign over the Indian box office ever since it was released last month in April. The blockbuster film has earned Rs 420 crores from its Hindi version alone and has over Rs 1,169.71 crore globally. After the cliff-hanging end of Chapter 2, producer Vijay Kiragandur has now confirmed that KGF: Chapter 3 will begin filming in October and has given more information about the franchise.
In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Kiragandur said that they will be creating a Marvel-style universe to reach a wider audience. He said, “Going forward, we are going to create a Marvel kind of universe. We want to bring different characters from different movies and create something like Doctor Strange. The way it happened in Spider Man or Doctor Strange. So that we can reach a wider audience easily.”
He further added that Director Prashant Neel was currently bust shooting for Saalar with Prabhas and the shooting for Chapter 3 will commence post that. “Director Prashanth Neel is currently busy with Salaar (starring Prabhas). Around 30-35% of the shooting is done. The next schedule is slated to begin next week. We hope to complete it by October-November this year. So, we plan to begin the shoot for KGF 3 after October this year. We hope to release the film by 2024,” he said.
