Kareena Kapoor Reacts To #BoycottLaalSinghChaddha Trend On Twitter; 'It’s A Good Film, It Will Surpass Anything'

After Aamir Khan his co-star Kareena Kapoor Khan has also reacted to the #BoycottLaalSinghChaddha that has been trending on Twitter ever since the trailer of the movie. The movie is set to release in August and is a remake of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump. Reacting to the trend, Kapooor said everyone has the right to express their opinion and social media has made it easy for everyone to say what they want to. The actress said that Laal Singh Chaddha will be able to overcome this if it’s a good movie and the rest is up to the audience.

Earlier Aamir Khan had also reacted to the topic and said that it hurt him to see such a negative trend on social media and said it was sad, he also requested the audience to not boycott his film.

Speaking to India Today, about the boycott, Kareena said, “Of course, because the accessibility is there today. Everyone has a voice today. There are different platforms. Everyone has an opinion. So now, if that is going to be there, then you have to learn to ignore certain things. Otherwise, it will just become impossible to live your life. And that’s why I don’t take any of this like seriously. I just post whatever I want to post.”

She added, “I am like ‘It’s a film and it’s going to release and everyone will have their opinion.’ So that’s it. If it’s a good film, I believe that it will surpass anything, pretty much, the response will be good. I think that good films will surpass anything.”

Laal Singh Chaddha is all set to release on August 11 and is an official remake of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump which itself is based on Winston Groom’s 1986 novel of the same name. The movie also stars Naga Chaitanya in his Hindi film debut.
