Aamir Khan, who teamed up with Kareena Kapoor Khan once again for ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, an official adaptation of Tom Hanks hit movie ‘Forrest Gump’ failed to allure the audience to the theatres. And it seems like the box office debacle of the Advait Chandan directorial has affected Aamir’s next project.
According to reports making rounds on the internet, Aamir was supposed to start with his next ‘Mogul’ after ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, but with the latter failing, T-Series has reportedly shelved the project indefinitely. While Akshay Kumar was the first choice to play Gulshan Kumar in the biopic titled ‘Mogul’, the actor backed out of the project due to unknown reasons, and the project ended up with Aamir. But given the 57-year-old actor’s recent disappointing run at the box office, the project’s future seems uncertain now.
While ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ has gone on to do a good business in the international circuit, it has surpassed the likes of ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ to become the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2022. But given ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’s failure in the domestic circuit, Aamir is reported to head to the US on a two months break.
