Haters Try To Troll Kareena Kapoor Khan By Boycotting Her Endorsement But It Backfires; Here’s What Happened

Bollywood is currently going through one of the worst dry spells since the pandemic. Big-budgeted films like Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, and Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan turned out to be the biggest failures in the actors’ careers in over a decade. While the tanked box office figures could be attributed to various reasons, the notorious boycott trend has emerged as the main culprit.

Aamir Khan’s old statement about ‘intolerance’ and Aanand L Rai’s Raksha Bandhan writer’s old tweets being allegedly Hinduphobic landed these anticipated films in trouble. Now, every other day, social media lights up with a boycott hashtag, claiming one victim after another.

It looks like Kareena Kapoor is not yet out of the woods as she found herself amidst another boycott trend. The actor was invited to launch the new Mercedes AMG EQS in Mumbai where she also walked the runway. The pictures and videos of the event went viral on social media, but not for the best reasons.

It was not long before the #BoycottMercedes hashtag started appearing on social media timelines. However, this time around, there were quite a few voices of dissent against the notorious trend. Many took a humouristic approach as they started trolling the trollers over boycotting Mercedes. One netizen wrote, ”Won’t affect the sales of Mercedes since boycott gang couldn’t afford one…”.
