Colombian drug lord, The Pablo Escobar’s brother Roberto Escobar, 71, has invented the smartphone. Roberto Escobar has his own investment company called Escobar Inc. It is a Colombian multinational conglomerate. Roberto has created the smartphone through its investment company. This company was founded in 1984 by Roberto himself. The main aim to form this holding company was for asset and value protection for Medellin Cartel. Pablo Escobar alone was responsible for cocaine trafficking all over the globe. Almost 80% of the market was covered by him globally. He was active between the late ’70s and early ’80s. He was declared billionaire by Forbes from 1987 to 1993. During the reign of Pablo Escobar, Roberto was handling the accounts for Medellin Cartel. When the Medellin Cartel went down, Roberto had to surrender. He spent 10-year imprisonment for the drug-related crimes.
Roberto dreamt of becoming a manufacturer of smartphones. The Samsung and Galaxy fold smartphones inspired him. Following the footprints of Samsung, he manufactured the folding smartphone. He named it as Escobar Fold 1. This smartphone has a unique specification. It has claimed that the phone cannot be damaged. Makers of this phone have undergone rigorous testing. They claim that the only way of destroying it is by burning it. The smartphone’s screen is made up of a particular type of proprietary plastic. The property of this plastic possesses the quality of unbreakable. Currently, this smartphone is the most durable and resistant telephone screen on the market. This phone has tied up with Google. They use Google’s Android operating system.
The primary aim of Roberto is to beat the competition. Roberto figured out that he can make a good telephone which is in the market at very less price. They are on the verge of proving it. The selling of these smartphones is increasing gradually. They have started selling their smartphones all over the Americas and plan to expand worldwide within a shorter span. Escobar Fold 1 smartphone does not have a global presence. It will be curious to see how the makers will market their phones to survive in front of big giants such as Samsung and Apple.
