'Ek Villain Returns' Fails To Impress Audience; Arjun Kapoor-John Abraham Starrer Struggles To Reach Rs. 40 Crore

Arjun Kapoor, John Abraham, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria starrer Ek Villain Returns released last month in July and opened to negative reviews. The movie is a spiritual sequel of the 2014 movie Ek Villain and is also directed by Mohit Suri. Ek Villain Returns has also failed to impress the audience as the movie is struggling to cross Rs. 40 crore mark at the box-office.

As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Ek Villain Returns garnered Rs 32.93 crore in Week 1, the film could only collect Rs 6.04 crore in its second week. The total collection now stands at Rs. 38.94 crore. He tweeted, “#EkVillainReturns [Week 2] Fri 1.38 cr, Sat 2.01 cr, Sun 2.63 cr. Total: ₹ 38.94 cr. #India biz.”

Meanwhile, Bollywood is currently facing a dry spell at the box office and several big-budget movies like Shamshera, Samrat Prithviraj, Dhaakad and more flopped. However, pan-India films like RRR, Pushpa, KGF: Chapter 2, Vikram and more had a great run at the box office.
