Akshay Kumar left his fans impressed after the Income Tax department rewarded him a ‘samman patra’. The Bollywood star reportedly became the highest taxpayer in the entertainment industry again. As per a report from Pinkvilla, the 54-year-old has been one of the highest taxpaying actors for over five years now.
After the news broke out, fans were eager to congratulate him for carrying out his responsibility with diligence. As per a report from DNA, the actor has now reacted to the honour by stating that he was ‘honoured’ to have been rewarded by the Income Tax Department. Moreover, he also said he feels ‘great’ that the department ‘recognizes and gives credit’ to the people.
Additionally, Akshay Kumar said that it was ‘good’ when ‘you earn, you give it back to the country’. He concluded that it was ‘one of the best feelings’. The Khiladi actor is one of the highest paid actors in India. Apart from his blockbuster films, he also has a dozen of endorsements.
The veteran actor is currently gearing up for the release of the Aanand L Rai directorial Raksha Bandhan opposite Bhumi Pednekar. The film will release in theatres on August 11, 2022.
