Aamir Khan’s production page shared an apology video amidst the entire Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha trend. The clip began with the words ‘Michami Dukkadam’ which means, “may all the evil that has been done be in vain.” Several fans felt that the account was hacked as the video was really filmy with Kal Ho Naa Ho playing in the background. However, the video was shared on the occasion of Das Lakshana/Paryushana, the Jain festival of forgiveness.
In the video, a voice was heard saying, “Hum sab insaan hai, aur galityan insaan se hoti hai. Kabhi bol se, kabhi harkaton mein, kabhi mazak mein….Agar maine kissi tarah se aapka dil dukhaya hai, toh…man vachan, kaaya se sama mangte ho.” which roughly translates to, “All of us are human beings and we only make mistakes. Sometimes through our words and sometimes by our actions, at times we do it without knowing and at times when we are angry. We also hurt people with our jokes and sometimes without talking. If I have hurt your feelings in any way ever then I ask for your forgiveness with my heart, promise and being.”
