Known for raising the standards of Bollywood with each outing, Aamir Khan has been busy with the promotions of his upcoming movie ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. And in a recent interview, the Mr Perfectionist of Bollywood once again opened up about his dream project. Based on the Hindu mythology ‘Mahabharat’, Aamir has been busy working on the project for the past few years, but his recent comments on the ambitious project will leave his fans and movie buffs disappointed.
Talking to Galatta Plus, Aamir opened up about his dream project ‘Mahabharat’ and said, “When you are making a film on Mahabharata, you are not just making a film. You are performing a yagya. It is not just a film, it is much more. And, that is why I am not ready for it yet. I am scared of bringing it out. Mahabharata will never let you down, but you may let down Mahabharata.”
While Aamir has admitted that the ambitious project would consume several years, fans have been early waiting for their favourite superstar to join the big leagues and come out with his own period drama soon. With multiple mythological dramas already in the works, 2023 is expected to be a year of big-budget movies in Bollywood.
Meanwhile, talking about Aamir’s upcoming movie ‘Laal Singh Chadha’, it’s an official adaptation of Tom Hanks ‘Forrest Gump’. Helmed by Advait Chauhan, the film will also star Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, Manav Vij and Naga Chaitanya in pivotal roles. The film is slated to release in theatres on August 11, 2022.
